WANTED: Dog Guard

Anyone know what they cost new? I've seen a few on eBay but I have never really needed one. However my current dog - a rather large golden retriever - has taken to jumping over the rear seats and then trying to join me in the drivers seat if he gets worried. Worried includes going round a corner at more than crawling pace.

So I am now on the hunt for a used one. Probably eBay is the best bet but I don't want to miss one here?

My business is arbitraging price differences so I hate paying full price for anything. Almost against my religion.

I thought they were double that at the dealers.

LR offer full height and a half height versions of the dog guard.

I bought a 2nd hand full height god guard from ebay for £75, but it was missing the brackets that fix it to the boot floor. LR only supply them with the dog guard, so I had to fabricate the brackets myself. The full height guard is excellent, it stops anything sliding into the rear seat, providing improved safety when carrying heavy items, but its a big heavy item itself so a pain to to lift in and out.

I also looked at the roller type cargo nets which look nice, but you need to purchase different boot trim which include the mounting brackets if your car is not already fitted with them.

Cheers

In my parents FFRR they have a half height dog gaurd. I have similar in all my cars apart from the D3 and don't think I would need a full height as the dogs are not in the boot when the seats are folded. Something like that would be fine and my parents paid about £90 - £100.

Why do they not do a cargo divider for the full fat? They do one for every other model, and it is great for securing the little ones. *Gone* Discovery3 HSE

Splits the boot in half (length ways) with a lockable gate. It joins up to the cargo barrier, so the barrier goes behind the seats, and the divider goes perpendicular to this. The gate is at the boot end, so it stops them trying to jump out when you open the boot. *Gone* Discovery3 HSE

Is this what you're meaning?

I had one in my Sport when I first bought It and looked great, but my dogs were too big to go in it so took it out and sold it.

That's the one.

We have one for the fl2, but they don't make them for a full fat. I need one desperately as they can not be allowed to chew this car! *Gone* Discovery3 HSE
