wind up's aside and staying on subject.

for those who don't know watch this;

you get about 3 letters with last one using big words like bailiffs, court etc. just throw them in the bin and do NOT pay these parasites. 2004 black Vogue TD6

The only word of caution I will add to the PCN debate is if the PCN was issued in a council run carpark then you should pay the fine. They will chase it up - it may still get thrown out of court but they have the time and manpower to waste.

If however it's from Joe Blogs parking then I agree, bin em. I had about 5K worth of PCN charges, they gave up sending letters after about 6 months!

Devon Council on the other hand threatened to take me to court for parking ONE rear wheel ON the white line in my parking bay... Their appeals proccess quickly denied my apeal and then I had to pay the full amount, I should have just paid the £25 initally rather than bitching and ending up paying £50...

Have a read here if you have the time.

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=2224551

Basically, they use scarey Wink looking letters that are not fines. They are more like invoices. So if you don't pay nothing ever happens.
They do say a "Debt Collector" may come round, but they have the same powers as Joe Public. They are NOT a baliff.

I have staff who have ignored all the letters from G24ltd and after worse and worse letters chasing for payment nothing happened at all. Rolling Eyes

It's a bit like me sending you an invoice for something you didn't know about and you ignore it. Little (or no) legal powers.
