Color matched Side Vents

Bought the replacement side vents from fleBay last week.. painted Zermatt Silver and applied 3 coats of lacquer. Been baking it for a week in the room with the connector heater so all cured nicely.

Finally installed them today and boy what a difference. Next mode is to color the wing mirrors black so watch out for the pics

I didn't find any decent instructions to take the bottom plastic trim off.. so would like to share best practice. The only video on YouTube was to pull it from the side and I would recommend not to follow it.

Basically you need to take the 8mm screw off and then pull gently. The whole plastic trim comes off easily allowing you to do the job nicely.

it's definitely worth painting it to match rest of the body work. I paid extremist to get the range rover logo on the middle fin. just need to put silver door handle cover to complete the look.

Lounge On Wheels there are 2 options:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182004913360?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT This if you are not fussed about the logo (works out cheaper and seller may accept £50)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161929892890?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT This if you want the logo like mine. I offered £75 and it was accepted.

Unclipped the bits off the grill, keyed the surface with 1200 grit wet and dry. Clean it with degreaser and base coat followed by 3-4 coats of Clear Coat.

P38 Rover I got it color matched Zermatt Silver from the local Car Paint supplier.
