Exhaust crack

A small hair line crack has appeared in one of my cats
I've put some high temp putty on it for the moment which has held well
But what I want to know is can it be welded has I'd like it to be repaired correctly
The exhaust has got no rot in it so don't really want to replace the whole system

Ditto. Cost c.£50. But it WILL go again in around 12-18 maths so if it gets too big a hole you can get a replacement down pipe section for c£200. Thumbs Up
