I have a 2012MY 4.4TDV8

When driven at constant speed/revs it seems to hold back or cough when accelerating slightly. If it was a petrol you almost say a misfire or bad petrol.

Driven normally i.e. around town it is not noticed and when driven with spirit it is not noticed, it is just a say 70 - 90mph 1500 - 1800rpm constant that it shows this hesitation / cough / misfire

I'm thinking maybe fuel leak on feed to injectors (rail??) shouldn't be bad fuel as I get through a tank a week and it has been playing up for 2-3 weeks.

Any ideas - its in for a service on Friday but a heads up would be good

There was a bulletin on this ....software update will fix it.

Thats interesting, its not book into a Main Dealer for the service.

I have had it in before and asked for all modules to be updated - about 4 months ago.

Either that or your top turbo hoses are split - very common on the 3.6 at about 5 years old

I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along to point out the 4.4 is a totally different design  2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

Yep, had same issue.

Explained it to dealer, they cleaned the MAF sensor and updated the PCM software and problem disappeared  2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

I took it to lR who did exactly that, cleaned the MAF and updated software and now spot on.
