Isle Of Man 2009 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Santorini Black
Front Discs

Hi guys,

Im looking for reccomendations for replacement front discs.

The ones I currently have fitted (on car when purchased) must be made of cheese as they are warped to Censored .

Have no problem buying OEM discs, but wondered if there are any other alternatives other than the Cheese variety.

Thanks 2009 Westminster. Mariana black with ivory leather.

I wouldn't recommend Britpart, my car has their front pads and I regularly have to take them apart and put a bit of copper grease on the back, they like to squeal!

I'd have thought a decent brand, Pagid, Brembo will be as good as genuine.

Disagree, with the above, I had pagid discs on my disco and they lasted all of 3 weeks, swapped for gen and all good. Give dan a shout at duckworthpars and you will find that there is not much difference in price on the 3.6 from aftermarket to genuine. from memory they are about £50 +vat per disc. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

NMJ... I bought a set of Pagid for my 3.6 too and one of them was warped when I fitted it..
Evil or Very Mad

I had to buy another set of discs, I went genuine as well and fitted them with no problems before returning the Pagid ones. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

I recently fitted Pagid discs and pads to the front of mine (TD6), mainly because I needed them on a Sunday and ECP were open.

No issues with the discs, no squealing from the pads, but they do generate a hefty amount of dust. 2004 Vogue TD6 - Remapped Smile

Put pagid on mine last year on the front, they are a bit wobbly now, OE are a bloody fortune, pads are dearer than the discs!

As said they are about £100 a pair the discs, pads wise the pagid ones are pretty decent, have had them on the disco with OE discs and they have been good, no squealing, though the calipers are just TRW ones. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

after using ebc redstuff and greenstuff pads over the years i'd NEVER use standard or oem ever again, little dust and at least twice the breaking power and they last longer and cheaper Thumbs Up _____________________________________________________

I've recently put Brembo (OEM quality ?!?) front discs and pads on both L322 S/C and my 4.2 N/A S Type Jag. No problems and stopping power is good but maybe slightly dusty. I bought from Eurocar Parts. Beat them down on price or on buy online.........they are currently offering -30% discount !!
