iPod again

Sorry all for asking. I have done a search but nothing specific came up.

I have a 54 plate RR TD6 with pre facelift sat nav screen etc. Not touch screen. Whats the best method to integrate iPod so that I get the controls on screen for playlists, track names etc... Assume steering controls also. Ash

Search ebay. The intravee and corresponding Alpine KCA-420i usually go for around 200...

Or spend 100 less and fool around with cd changer emulation. (see the other ipod thread in general for a quick review on that)

Ooohhhh. Thanks scarey. I think £300 is worth it then if everything else is free. Would a normal DVD burner and blank DVD suffice. I read someone had issue but I think thats the facelift version that requires dual layer discs. Ash

In fact - I seem to be in spending mode.... Would this fit nicely and enable all the phone functions as well for me http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-BLUETOOTH-MODULE...7b7866e20. Especially via the screen. Would it enable caller ID, and dial functions etc...? Ash

No, you're not too quick IMO. It's as I posted: either the Intravee or you spend 100 less and mess around with cd player emulation (=Dice). Very worth the extra 100 if you ask me. The Intravee is great - lets you navigate all songlists etc w/o problems. The only thing I don't like is that the artist/songtitle sometimes takes a moment to appear - so you have to wait a second to see where you are when searching through artists, for example.

You could have picked up an Intravee/Alpine together for around 200 on the bay, but yours is new. Enjoy, you have the best solution.

Be patient, a MKIV will turnip.

Microcat is the LR parts catalog - so that works. Laughing

Everything else is for the BMW based nav (pre-touch screen) and will not work on the later RR's.
