Just to be pedantic...West Berkshire is a Unitary District Council in the county of Royal Berkshire. Just because the County Council was split into 6 unitary authorities doesn't mean that the old county disappeared. |

It shouldn't be anything to worry about, it is a variable vane vacuum actuator on the turbo. From what i have learned it allows the turbo to adapt to engine speed and always provide an element of boost. When you lift off the throttle you get a little whistle. Thats what i was told when i looked into mine.I thought it was dump valve etc.... It will only happen with Variable Geometry Turbo chargers and if the TD5 has a different type of turbo (which i think it does) the whistle will be new. Welcome to the club and enjoy |
