New door handle shells

Hi all - treated myself to some brand new colour coded door handle shells all round ...

I didn't replace the door lock caps as they were in vgc and thought I hd spent enough.

Problem is the colour is slightly different between the two but I expect the sun to sort that out for me and it's not really an issue.

The other thing is then new handles have two horizontal lines going across them but the door cap doesn't - is that normal? A google of new caps doesn't show them with the lines but maybe not looking in the right place.

England 2011 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black

I swapped the complete lock/handle assembly to newer ones due to flaking and mine have a slight colour difference between the handle and lock cover so I think that it is a factory thing.

It is so slight you don't really notice it, but I do prefer the feeling of using the handle when it does not have a plastic shell stuck over it. The sharpness of the cover edge behind the handle always made it feel cheap, even if it looked great. I would recommend the shell covers for a temporary fix if the old handles look bad. Switching to complete new handles is not that hard. Tom
