What car advice ?

My sister is after a new car, she is proply hard work !

She has one BIG dog that goes EVERYWHERE with her and a little waist of time dog ! She has about 9k to spend, would prefer to spend less if poss !

I looked at a couple of things, a Showgun or a L200 Animal thing ?

What do you think ? She really wants low running costs and be able to have it looked after by a non main dealer ! 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE

Kia Sorento? I had one for three years, excellent value for the bigger 4x4. Ian

Judging by Dan's pricing in the other post she should be able to pick a FFRR up for under 9k!

Running cost won't be to cheap like we all know but must be worth the extra £'s than driving a KIA.

Friend had a shogun and wasn't cheap to run and repair cost where very exspensive.

Like Paul says I would look to see if theres a FFRR. It will probably have higher miles and a bit more than £9k, but as most people know if it's broken it's already done so and been fixed. IMO the Shogun is not very flatering and the L200 Animal isn't really a woman's car Thumbs Up

Theres a few which I have seen on whatcar which got reasonable reviews, although they may be a bit more than the £9k budget.

Chevy Captiva - 3/5 - http://www.themotorhouse.co.uk/car_details.aspx?vid=36241
Hyundai Santa Fe - 4/5 - http://www.vcars.co.uk/used-cars/cardetail...p;u=115612
Nissan Murano - 4/5 - http://www.vcars.co.uk/used-cars/cardetail...p;u=462528

They're not huge, but then they are reasonably cheap. I personally wouldn't drive them, but they're practical.
