2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Tailgate button cover - am I being a muppet?

Got a replacement tailgate button cover (other one fell off a few weeks back) so I went to put it on but I am struggling to get it to fit; specifically to get the little barbs to pop into the gap they seem to need to fit into. If I could get it in, it would also seem to want to press constantly on the actual inner switch so I'm totally flummoxed by what seem to be the easiest job on a RR... Am I missing something?

2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

I removed the boot trim to fit mine properly I think there was about six screws.

Put it in to the hole spread the barbs and refitted it to car.

^+1 Much easier if you remove the plastic trim, fit the rubber cover and replace the trim.

I was also struggling - removed the boot trim and it was pretty easy after that Geoff

mine sat on its packaging for ages because i thought you had to remove the trim, tried to fit it without and it went straight in Current
