My alternator failed on Friday, so need to order a replacement, does it need a new O ring or does one come with the alternator? I will also replace the belt, anything else to consider?

Depends on who you buy from ref o ring. Mine came without and the original was in good nick but we still bought a new one tho use.

If you replace the belt it may be a good time to replace the pulley and arm. Don't buy jus the pulley as the whole lot bought together is cheaper that the pulley on its own!
