Is it necessary to disconnect both ground and positive terminals on the battery if I need to disconnect the door SRS? If waiting 10 or 20 min for the SRS system to drain down per RAVE why would we need to remove the positive battery cable? |

Thanks. Yes anything BMW plastic related is expected to break. Just doesn't age well. |

I think it is just a double safety thing. I usually remove both terminals and put an old sock over both ends, just to ensure the SRS does not get reactivated by an accidental reconnection. Opens cans of worms if you have bits of the SRS unplugged when you reconnect! .
