Drivers seat and steering column L322

Hi just lately my 4.4 l322 vogue (2003) has developed an annoying problem.
When you start her up the steering column and drivers seat will not adjust then after a while as i am driving the column moves to its preset position and the seat will adjust.
There is still power to the passenger seat so it is only affecting the drivers seat and steering column any ideas.
