If it’s not too far south for you, Langley 4x4 in Kings Langley are excellent. What do I put here then?

Would be interested to find one too. So far I have tried:

Rockingham Land Rover - they have reasonable labour rate, but seemed to be very good at billing exreras and retuning the car in their own time. It took a week for a full service, with belt and tensioner repayment. They didn’t seem to be keen to to service the high spec model things like renewing climate seat filters etc.

RM Land Rover in Rushden - more a a Defender kind of garage, one man band. The owner “Rick” is a good old school mechanic, but not so experienced with his IID device. Very keen labour rate and short lead time for booking.

Fox Land Rover, Husbands Boswoth (edge of Leicestershire, J1 of A14) good service, very well equipped workshop, lovely reception and waiting area, very knowledgeable Land Rover trained technicians, free loan Discovery. But the labour is £95 per hour including VAT.

Please let us know if you find a good Indy and a good price.

Why not continue using them?
I was put off when I visited by all the broken old Land Rovers and and the general presentation. I was concerned for my light cream semi-aniline leather interior being in contact with oily old overalls. Perhaps I was wrong. Perhaps I should have saved £40 per hour.

Ahhh. If the fix was okay, perhaps they will be my garage of choice.

To be honest i jumped the gun unfairly
Cannot fault them even to the point of front track rod ends and drive shaft went 24 hours before i was due on the tunnel car wasnt booked in but they managed to get the car in stayed late on the sat to finish it so we were able to make the trip i also had the dreaded oil filter cooler issue they replaced the lot for about £350 and on reading on here thats a very good price
