GAP IID tool

Good morning guys!

I'm a new member from this morning but have been perusing the site for a while. Lots of helpful members and obviously all with good taste I have to say haha.

Picked up a 2011 4.4 tdv8 for my wife a couple of weeks back and there's a couple of features I've read about I'd like activated.

These are mainly the DRL activation and the one click for alarm activation.

My question is if there is a list online of other features I might want to consider?

I'm not able to have the TV screen on for my daughter whilst driving, not sure if this is an upgrade.

Many thanks in advance.

Gavin

Have a look at the gap site they list all he featured the iid tool can configure. Should give you a good idea of what's possible.

Enabling the 2nd ( Numeric) speedo is good upgrade.

Does anyone know if there any of our Scottish members close to Glasgow with the tool?

Excuse the overfamiliar post from someone new haha.

I'm sure that they have the IID tool in Scotland, but they are VIN locked to the car, so I'm not too sure what they will do for another... I have been able to access live data for the injectors on another car... but I think it's a case of you can look but not change anything.... unless you buy another licence or it's a Pro version Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Yes, I'm Scottish (in Glasgow) and I have a tool! Thumbs Up

As has been said, the non-pro version is locked to a single VIN, unless an additional payment is made to GAP. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Cheers guys. Hello Alan 👍

I'm only really looking to get the DRls activated. I got a quote from Monarch but for the money involved I'd rather look at getting my own!

Didn't realise it's a licence activated diagnostic. Bastards haha

Personally, i think it's probably one of the best investments you can make getting one of your own. Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Whistle so you need to be calling your local Indy's to find one that uses the Gap IID Pro, for your light upgrade....although a friendly IID tool owner that's prepared to add another car to their tool isn't out the question either.. I'd imagine that the costs will be around the same either way Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
