Tail lights misting up.e l

Having some trouble with my tail lights, over the last few months, they've been misting up when it's damp outside, at first, 20 mins or so with the lights on and they were clear, but lately, there's been loads of condensation in them to the point where there was about an inch of water in the bottom of them.

So, I drained the water out and over the last couple of nights, i've had them on the radiator with the bulb holders out. They have mostly dried out, but they were still misted up, I spent about half an hour with a hair drier blasting them dry, but as soon as they're back on the car, they're misted up again and it's doing my head in.

Any tips to stop them from steaming up in the future? 2006 Mercedes CLS

common problem mark and there are threads re this....what i have done is to drill a small hole at the bottom corner on each light and this has stopped the condensation..it takes a few weeks for the moisture to totally get out but it seems to work...another way is to dry the light holders out and re-seal with clear silicon.. ... - .- -.

I didn't think about drilling a small hole, I'll give it a go, cheers.

I had thought about silicone though, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere where the water was leaking back out. I'll give that a go too Thumbs Up 2006 Mercedes CLS
