Tail gate behaviour

On a 2014 L405, using the under dash button to unlock the tailgate, should it open both top and bottom or just top?

It does basil. Just had mine in for very similar issue. Would open from inside but not close and just the same on the fob. Apparently needed re-calibrating and two struts. 2016 SDV8 Autobiography
And several others previously.

Temperature seems to play a part in this - if its cold the tailgate is temperamental and slow. If it's warm there seems to be less issues and both work fine. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
