MPG gone mad !

Since having the new tyres fitted and full service my MPG has gone mad. I was getting 29-31 over a week, mostly M WAY driving @ 100kms on cruse controll.

Now its showing for the month 26.5 and when i set off for work this morning the week was 26.4. I watched it on the M Way and the week fig was rising all the was to 28 by the time i got to work, but the Monthly fig had DROPPED to 26.1 ? How can this be if the other fig was riseing ? 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE

if the battery was dis-connected then maybe the ecu has reset it self and is giving you a different reading..leave it for a couple of weeks and it might show the same mpg then... ... - .- -.

Dont worry about what the computer says its doing, find out how much fuel its actually using by brimming the tank.

Well I don't know about the going up v down, but you mention the tyres have been changed.. and I've been paying attention to recent threads to so I know the answer...

Thrashing the ass off it in sand / mud with low pressure in the tyres has caused a HUGE dip in consumption Laughing And going back to try it again... well Rolling with laughter

Then after deflating make sure they are back up to full pressure and aren#t leaking around the rims. I's easy to dislodge rubber from a tyre when the pressures are low so maybe one isn't seated properly.

All the above are assumptions that low pressure may still be evident on one or more tyre. Correct pressures should be displayed on the drivers B pillar. 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS
