2010 Rear Light Conversion Help

I own a 2007 Vogue both light have been damaged so I decided to purchase a pair of 2010 rear lights . I'm sure I can't be the only idiot out there but I am struggling to get these to work properly... can anyone help me?

I've tried looking over the net but it all seems a bit of a closed door and I refuse to be beaten. From what I understand I need to use 50 Watt resistors in parallel? however with the side lights on during a night drive the resistors surely would get so warm I could reheat my dinner Razz Also on the back of the lights it mentions 5 Volts do I need to reduce the voltage aswell....?

Please help as I can't drive my works van for much longer I'm going mad Evil or Very Mad

Resistors seem the method of choice. Having mine wired in tomorrow. I think i'm right in saying you don't need them for side lights though, only indicators ( to reduce flash speed) so won't be on constantly. Fogs are trickier, need a 4 way relay. And yes in ideal world i believe you should reduce voltage but i think most conversions don't.

check a thread out on rangerovers.net about an overfinch 2010 conversion and most of what you need is in there.

Well someone had to do it soon. Once mines fitted tomorrow i'll sell it for £13 (only joking).

I actually reckon you'll sell a few of these and considered myself (once my kits fitted, front and rear) duplicating the parts and diagram and selling as a kit. I paid a hefty sum for a diagram ( the expensive knowledge bit) and a couple of resistors and relays!!
