Hi all,

Is there a way to stop the muppet wipe? You know, the one programmed by a muppet to occur 3 seconds after the last wipe after a squirt to the screen.

Press, squirt, wipe, wipe. wait....wait....wait...muppet wipe, smearing the new road spray over your nice clean screen.

Any way to disable this?

I think iid tool can cancel drip wipe, the last one, or what I do is when the last wipe of 3 (I think) is done pull down on wiper stick and wipe again straight after and that seems to cancel the pause wipe. Hope you understand what I mean.

I haven’t cancelled the drip wipe on mine.

I’ve always found the muppet wipe to be helpful, not a pain.

Maybe I don’t drive enough. What do I put here then?

It is normally, unless the car in front is throwing up dirt and that wipe smears it....then you have to clean it again. My 735 used to do it and I quickly ran out of washer fluid in that scenario....

But on balance I still prefer having the muppet wipe. What do I put here then?

Would be good to know if it can be disabled - I personally like to decide when to wipe or not wipe I don't need a computer to tell me! Bish.

Yes it can be deactivated via the Car Configuration Files sir... Known as “Drip Wipe"

Mine seems to have been disabled, but I only noticed it because of this thread and a long drive yesterday.

I may have done the disabling myself when playing with my IID tool a few years ago, but cannot be sure.

Regardless, on yesterday's salty motorways, I was rather glad the drip wipe didn't happen. Si. <This is my name.
