Can someone interpret thise readings please.

Hi, these are the readings from my 2003 l322 3.0 diesel .
Can some one give in site on this please.
Fuel Comp readings are as follows.
Cyl 1 655 mm3
Cyl 2 654 mm3
Cyl 3 655 mm3
Cyl 4 653 mm3
Cyl 5 653 mm3
Cyl 6 6 mm3

looking at graph, cyl 1 is up and down and cyl 6 is rough, it cyl 1 injector the problem or no 6 or both? I have been told that there are compensations made by the engine.

Afaik, the live values should range between minus , which is good, up to +2 or 3. Have you any running /starting problems, I ask because cylinders3,5,& 6 on mine show the same as yours, and cylinders 1,2&4 , range between 0,+1 +1.
I have no running or starting problems, but am led to believe that the injectors are over fueling when +3and above. The only sure way is to do a leak off test, if you look up joe90 in wiki on here, he has done this, I'm going to investigate mine at some time, but not yet, too many things to do.
Also check if your fuel pump in tank is noisy, could be coincidence as mine doesn't seem as loud now.

Hmmm, same as me, except all of your readings appear to be over the limit.
I have bought a set of injector seals and o'rings off the bay, only cost £11.00,
will try these first, before spending big money on recon or new injectors.

Did you guys get anywhere with this? just checked my injectors with the GAP IID tool and got:

Cylinder 1: 655 mm3
Cylinder 2: 0 mm3
Cylinder 3: 655 mm3
Cylinder 4: 1 mm3
Cylinder 5: 0 mm3
Cylinder 6: 655 mm3

Doesn't seem to run particularly rough or puff out lots of smoke, noticed that revving the engine above 1300 rpm makes them all go to 0 mm3 so normal driving wouldn't produce smoke, Have put injector cleaner in hoping it cures the problem!

Not yet ollie, mine is still running ok.
Mine also shows good readings when revved.
Bg244 is a good fuel system cleaner, about £20 off the bay, a bit dearer thsn redex, but supposed to be really good, I have put some in mine last year after a lumpy tickover, I've had no problems since. Thumbs Up

ok thats interesting, i've put reddex in my fuel recently and not seen any change yet, if it was causing more of a problem I'd have them reconditioned but as everything seems to work ok I don't see the point in spending £££ on reconditioning if nothing goes wrong

I pulled all injectors and had them cleaned and flow tested, $350 AUD and now all is good. Was told not to put additives into fuel as this causes problems , just to buy fuel from high turn over suppliers in future

Hi, sorry to resurrect this old thread, what were the compensation values afterwards? All around 0?
