Anyone recommend a decent route through n spain (santander) and through to portugal lisbon taking in some decent scenery on the journey? Also any tips on how I go about toll systems for both countries?

That is what we did, just did not quite work out that way as we fell in love with a building plot which was an old olive grove in the foothills of the Sierra Das Candeeeiros just outside the UNESCO town of Alcobaca.
