United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

Mark

Agree the oil has to be a the engine's working temperature to work most effectively. This is the item I used. Time will tell if it is robust, but it seems it will come apart easily enough to clean and/or repair. For the FF it requires a little decant into another container, but the majority can be taken for disposal in the unit. Knowing my luck, if I used and electric pump into a container the discharge pipe would be off round the drive!!

Yours appears to be the deluxe version Mike. It has levels marked. Mine you have to have the sun behind it. Cheers

Thanks for the info on the oil extractors chaps, and the tips for making sure the oil is good and hot. My Draper one is the same as Mike's and the only reason I went for that was that it's 10lt capacity means that I could suck it all out in one go. Anyway - I dug my pump out this afternoon and remembered that it came with no instructions. I did a test run in a bucket of water and don't know if it is the meds they have given me for my back, but I couldn't seem to make the bloody thing work. Thankfully, Mike very kindly gave me some pointers via PM - thanks Mike Very Happy

Paul - I am pretty certain that on the 5.0SC, we use the tube that sits under the oil filler cap. Please do shout anyone, if that is not correct!

Richard - so sorry to hijack your thread slightly Wink

Laughing Arrow back to the thread.

Stuff it, staying slightly Off Topic

What tablet do you guys and any watching this thread, use with the IID? (I say tablet as that would be my preference as a larger screen is to be had, and if they had a SIM slot that would be suitable for use as my satnav). Happy to know about phones too.

I have a Lenovo on Android which Patrick says does not recognise the IID when I sent him the bug log. That was a shame as I had just bought it Sad Luckily my a near neighbour lent me a Galaxy J3 16 which does work, AND, when they moved they kindly gave it to me.

OK.........Should we start a new thread on this? May help others not to make a mistaken purchase. Cheers

It’s your thread, so off topic or not, I use my iid on an iPad mini4 with the App from Gap.
It seems fine to me.

Picked up the car from the chap who did the wheelarches, tailgate and nearside mirror area bubbling. Impressed with the match of the paint on the door. Sprayed to the crease line and I can't see the join. Pleased with the quality and a fair price.

To celebrate, packed up wife and towed tin tent to a small pub with 10 pitches and had two nights with a pretty good meal on each. Also fed wife. Cheers

Bought a new grill, brought it home in the FF, assembled it, but the instructions didn't say how to fit it Wink
