Air suspension on 2011 vse

Hi all, first real issue with my 2011 VSE, air suspension works fine , goes up and down in under 10 seconds BUT then becomes inactive . IID shows fault that the reservoir is filling too slowly. I have checked live values and the reservoir pressure goes from 220 to 36 in the blink of an eye, do you think this would be a sensor issue? Any thoughts gladly received. 2015 4.4 AB

Just a bit more info, if i dont adjust suspension up or down I have no issues, if i lower the car no issues but the once i raise the car , a few minutes later i get the ' standard suspension only available warning on the dash and the above code is the recorded fault.

I clear the fault and all good again until I raise the car again.
The live values show the reservoir fills to 220 psi and then drops instantly to 36 and then stays static.

The car raises in under 10 seconds from access to standard so I'm thinking the reservoir is holding enough PSI and the sensor is giving a false reading. Any thoughts welcome. 2015 4.4 AB

I can only talk from D3 experience but the pressure dropping like that is normal. Once the reservoir is filled the pressure on my D3 would drop from 260Psi to 20Psi. This is due (I believe) to the reservoir valve closing to isolate the reservoir and the compressor then exhausts the excess pressure. There can also be an issue that the exhaust cycle doesn't drop the pressure sufficiently so you get a C1A13 - Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery.

The car is raised using the stored pressure in the reservoir which is then replenished as the pressure drops. If you monitor the live values as it fills, does it sit at 220 for long? What does the compressor temperature look like? On the D3 it should get to 260Psi before it cuts out (and I suspect the FF is the same) so it sounds like the compressor is unable to achieve the required pressure to satisfy the system that the reservoir has been filled to the target pressure? Hence the C1A20 code.

Sounds like either a faulty compressor or a leaking reservoir? 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate
