Overhead sunglasses holder

Ok I know not a real technical subject ,but so annoying my sunglasses holder will open easy but takes about 20 pushes to close it .
Can't see any damage to the gear or bow tie type catch any one had similar
Currently closed never to open again

Yep, mine's the same. Seems to work better in the colder weather.

Mine was the same. Took it apart and lubricated the mechanism and it has been working afterwards. 2006 Supercharged

Mine works OK,but I find it easier just to leave it open,not in the way,just pop glasses in and out,far easier!! Simon

Took it out today, no damaged parts gave it a clean and lube all ok again
