If I remember rightly, the side panels when you open the door, (triangular-ish black plastic sections) just pry out, then you can see a couple of torx screws.
For the vents, you need 4 very small flat head screwdrivers as the vents are held in by 4 clips that need lifted up before the vent will pull free from it's housing. Don't just yank the vent though as you'll break the clips and the vent won't sit flush when it's back in. Once the vents are out, I think there's another couple of screws behind there. You will need to remove the lower cubby box section that houses the diagnostic socket before the actual side panel comes off.
When you do get the side section off, it's easier to just leave the headlight switch in place too.
