Has anyone experienced a bubbling of the silvery metallic trim around the gear and terrain selectors on the central console of their L322?

This is in a 2010 4.4 TDV8.

It looks a bit like there’s a metallic film over the part...

To complicate the matter, the replacement part that PowerfulUK sells, seems permanently out of stock!!

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

not seen that before..

i dont like the sun reflections on mine so i wrapped it in gloss black, not the best of jobs but saves spending £90 on the powerfuluk one and totally dismantling the centre console to fit it..

You’ve done an amazing job with that, but I doubt that I would have the skill or dexterity to apply a film so neatly as you have done!!

what you see in the pic was a quick job with the intention of doing it properly by removing the panel but the work involved has put me off doing that ... ... - .- -.

same modificacion here Mike but in matte finish, cuts on reflection bit more. it is not very difficult.

wrapping it is a decent idea, however as its bubbling up you will still see the raised area unless you flat back the area first.

Never seen one of these go funny there though.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

mike2013, use razor blade to cut out buble and nail polish to build up hole to a surrounding lavel. nail polish builds up quick .

You could also send it to wicked coatings, not sure how much they charge but their stuff looks great.
