TD6 coolant

Recently in workshop changed the water pump.Genuine Rover coolant used for refilling.
However since then and by the time i start car receive "check cooling liquid" and then notice goes away.
Checking liquid and is within correct levels.
Can it be sudden problem with the sensor or something,by the time they were drying system, stored in memory and now needs to be cleared??

Many thanks for your assistance

If the dilution rate is low it will set off sensor also. You might have too weal coolant.

The dilution or specific gravity has no bearing at all on the sensor. The sensor can be removed from the bottom of the expansion tank without any loss of coolant as it is a magnetic reed switch. If the reed switch tests ok you will need to invest in a new expansion tank, I believe from past experience the magnet on the float becomes weak and gives false alarms. If the reed switch is faulty you can buy a new sensor or just solder in a new 10p reed switch

,
AKIS, most likely is that when the coolant was drained, floating element got stuck on the bottom of the expansion tank, it happened to me. I removed expansion tank out and wash it first with some gasoline and then kitchen degreaser and all is well again. Thumbs Up

Nino,
