2013 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Baltic Blue

Advice please on washing the FF !

I recently (about a month ago) acquired a well pampered black one. The paintwork is like a mirror and after a month still looks clean which I find unbelievable. Now usually I don't wash the car, it gets done once a year when it goes for a service. My question is this, HOW do I wash this one without ruining the mirror finish

Even I wash mine seasonally - though it sometimes gets extra in the summer as it’s warm and therefore easier. - though not sure why I bother - I did the summer wash 2 weeks ago and this is what it looks like already

I used to be a lot more into it - rinse if very dirty - wash with a dedicated detergent like Autooglym wash and rinse - and the shine is as much as anything to do with the dry so no water marks - I use a towel - so much easier than a leather

Might be wise to try and speak to the previous owner - car might have been professionally valeted and had some kind of coating applied - some coatings only need water to clean off dirt.

That's my issue, it looks like it has been coated with something so I don't want to ruin it, will try just water on it

I too think you should contact the previous owner... Some of our cars are "Syramik" coated. Polishing the car removes the expensive coating!

My understanding is to wash the car with a Ph neutral shampoo and NEVER take it to a Hand/Car wash where they cover the car with TFR as that eats away at all sorts of surfaces!

stuff, and a blowdryer), but even he admits it depends on how dirty / type of dirt.
