Furniture Clinic leather repair - how to deal with stitching

Am considering refurbing seats using the Furniture Clinic leather kit to sort out wear on seats. Searched posts and results look good.

Questions for anyone who has done this...

Did you take the seat(s) out to do it?
How long (rough idea) does it take to do a seat?
How did you deal with stitching \ piping when spraying the colour etc? What about the folds?

I've just had a look at the Furniture Clinic web site ( https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/) and had an online chat with Duncan as we have a split on our drivers seat. He was extremely helpful and has asked for some images of the tear so that they can advise on how to repair.
There are some interesting video clips on their site.
