The SVA-D is simply no comparison to the Bentayga - the build quality has stepped up so much from my 15MY Range Rover and I think it's a better car in almost every way.

Not having spent any time in an 18MY car, I’m surprised by this - there are lots of parts bin VW bits in the Bentayga, but I’d say the quality of the trim (and how solid it feels) is noticeably better than the L405. Still not a fan of the Bentayga though...

There is a notable difference between ‘standard’ 18MY L405 derivatives and previous model years as well. However, the SVO derivative fit and finish is simply extraordinary, right down to a full leather loadspace cover. Compared to a 17MY SVO, it’s come on such a long way.

Have a drive in one and you’ll see!

Indeed, it is a “hand finished and trimmed vehicle” but underneath it is still a standard production FF..... Whistle

I think we could apply the same sentence for the Bentayga:
Indeed, it is a “hand finished and trimmed vehicle” but underneath it is still a standard production Q7.....

At least, the L405 doesn't share its platform with any other brand so I would say the Range Rover is a more authentic product than a Bentayga which I think looks vulgar but that last bit is only subjective I admit.

Very true........but the base vehicle reliability/quality might be more suited to a £150K+ price range Whistle David

Absolutely - the Bentayga is a cynically-conceived car - whilst the Cullinan looks awful, at least it isn’t (entirely, at least) on the X7 platfrom.

I do like the Bentaga , but what sets the RR apart for me is the far better seating position. The Bentleys is far more car like, lower.

Definitely, claustrophobic by comparison in the front - the screen pillars are close and low.
