Can anyone tell me the approximate life of the turbos on the 2011 on 4.4 deisel please. I have found a car that I am interested in which is on a 100 thousand and just wondering what is likely to give me any trouble in the near future. Can't help with an accurate answer but as the turbos are sequential i would imagine the second stage one would last for a long time due to the way the gearbox keeps the engine revs so low. 2015 4.4 AB

They are less fragile than the the 3.6 that is for sure.

There aren’t many tales of woe, there have been failures but not in the order of those on the 3.6, the setup is a little more robust.

Buy on condition and history.

Does it have a good service history, are there annual oil changes, has it had the turbo drain mod done etc. Read up on the 4.4 failure thread on here, there is a common theme of a couple of common issues of the oil cooler, turbo drain and rear oil feed o ring leaks.
