I seem to remember reading on here somewhere that that trim can be removed without needing to replace it. It's cosmetic only not a seal as such. The problem is however the quality of the paint finish under it if you do remove it. I have a suspicion that you may have to do some work on the paint if not repaint. |

Tbh, if you take it out and the paintwork will clean up I wouldn’t bother putting it back. It’s decorative only and wasn’t on the facelift 07->

Easy to fit the new one, i just pushed it in from one end liberally coat it with silicone spray and also spray the edge of the window and top of the tail gate. |

Mine bottom piece was never fitted when the upper tailgate was replaced and one of the side strips fell off so I took the other one off to match.
