(Edited to preserve anonymity).......”Somebody I know 😉” is supposed to change her vehicle (LR) at 6 months or before 5K 😱 she has had the last one for almost a year and now with 17K on the clock, she kept changing the spec and commutes over three hours a day.......the company have now changed the rules (probably just for her ) and I think there is only one spec change allowed!

I think she is in a D5 now......so if anyone sees a one year old Disco Sport 17K on LRAU give it a wide berth......early life had a lot of issues. David

I phoned the dealer today and was told that the parts have arrived and they're hoping to have it in the workshop for Monday...

Provided that they manage to fix it, it looks like I can be hopeful for a collection after a 6 week wait! Family are really looking forward to getting the Fatty back Especially in time for holidays

I’ve got a 50 mile drive home. I’ll certainly ask them to hang on to the loaner until at least I get home (it having lasted <7 miles the first time, so 50 miles ought to find it out!).g

@Red Merle - if you’re happy allowing someone from the dealership driving your car for an extended period let them put a few miles on to confirm the fix. The Honda Dealer Principal did a 60 mile round trip to test the third wheel arch liner on my S2000 given the initial replacement split within 30 miles. All done with my permission and with due regard to a trustworthy person who could park my precious car up safely overnight.

Unfortunately, after 43 days, we’re not even at that stage yet

After “the parts” arrived late on Friday, I was told to expect it back today, but it’s all gone quiet again.

This is turning into a complete shambles and I’ve lost all faith in LR’s “customer support”. How did they manage to balls it all up this badly?

Here’s my mileage summary for the year that I’ve owned the car (from new) and the large gap at the end puts the amount of time that I haven’t had use of the car into some kind of perspective:
