Hi Dan parts arrived today thanks, the strut however is no better than the one i took off, it doesnt arrest the fall of the lower tailgate at all- it slams open if you let it fall, as the strut is a damper, there seems to be a large amount of air in it, which prevents it from working properly, or are they all like this?

Hi Dan, have you got anywhere with this strut, i am sure they must be from a bad batch, as the new one doesnt damp at all,
