United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Aintree Green
The Mid February Trip to the Alps

Set out at 5.30 am for the Alps, heading to Portes de Soleil with an overnight stop in Besancon. Solo trip out as picking up the rest of the party at Geneva airport on Monday evening. 423 miles and around 9 hours driving time. The usual mad rush of Brits down the A26 but everyone settles down by Reims and I was on cruise most of the time. Plenty of FFRRs, even the occasional wave and loads of D3/D4/D5s, all of which were loaded to the gunnells and being pushed hard. Lots of RRSs too, many being driven by the hooligan tendency. Of course the worst were the Audi/Merc brigade, carving everyone up. I just cruised along in my lazy V8 powered leather armchair and enjoyed the view. Clear roads and bright sunshine all the way, music on loud and arrived unflustered. Great trip!

No winter tyres, just the standard contis. Have chains, but don’t think they’ll be needed!

Funnily enough not too many Belgians or Dutch yesterday, but lots here in the resort
