Just as an update, there is still power at the nav unit in the back as i noticed there is a light on the eject button but the little red power light is off. I notice some have read my post but no answers yet, |

Apologies if you've already tried this but are the connections at the back of the satnav drive fully seated? I've had a problem in the past where the drive had power etc but no feed and it turned out one of the connectors was ever so slightly loose.

Just to add to this, I remember being told the Mk3 units will lock themselves if the firmware update isn't applied absolutely correctly - i.e. format, mode etc.

Sounds like firmware is locked if you have power.

Actually forget that - not sure there is a manual release on the satnav drives.
