3.6 tdv8 knock sensor wiring....

Is there anybody that has any pictures or could take a picture of the drivers side and passenger side wiring harness on the engine.. mainly the 2 matching grey 2 pin connectors that are about 50mm in length. They both have the same connector and the same wire colours so just wondering if they could have been swapped over or wether they are joined up as they have the same colour wires.. i will attach a picture of my drivers side showing what im looking at! Thanks

Hi, no they are definately for the knock sensors, there are two on either bank. I just find it strange how they both can be plugged into each other easily and have the same colour wiring... a couple pictures of the looms similar to my picture should allow me to get them the correct way! Looked through google images etc but nothing clear enough.. 2004 td6 l322 - gone

Been looking on egr removal procedures from other members guides and still cannot see these connector plugs. I can see the metal brackets that these clip onto but no plugs.. im now a bit confused.. also i have access to e3technical data and delphi direct evolution and neither of these mention knock sensors on their wiring diagrams...
Anybody doing anything in the next couple of days able to take a few pictures of their engine bays with the engine cover off please Smile 2004 td6 l322 - gone

Assuming you right and they are the knock sensors, is there an issue you need to resolve.
I dont see why it would affect anything if the wiring was crossed. They just tell the ECU to back off the timing to stop any "knock" .
What is the problem. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

Not neccesarily an issue... wasnt feeling right and a bit diesel knocky when cold, more than it should but by no means alot. Had a similar car in at work so took photos of the live data to compare and nothing different apart from the cylinder balances... injector number 8 was around 1050 , another was 900 and the others around 700.. then a few days after that the car went into limp mode and then found the manifold was cracked, used some sikaflex again to seal and then they pretty much evened them selves out between 850-950. I know how the knock sensors work, just assumed as there were two either bank i would have thought it would matter which was which unless its backs the timing off across the board of that makes sense!

These range rovers can make you quite paranoid lol! 2004 td6 l322 - gone
