Replacement L405 keyfob - how does it work?

Can anyone please advise?

If buying one of these to replace a tired current L405 fob, what needs to be done to 'programme it to the car' please?

Thanks.

You can either change over the electronics inside (easy enough) or you can code a new key using your IID unless your car has had a security update at JLR (usually at service point) then you won't be able to code a new one yourself Ryan as JLR lock down the key ECU to prevent theft... Thumbs Up
