If the power for the camera (when in reverse) comes from the reversing light will the camera fail if the reversing light bulb is blown?

Also does the interior trim at the top of the rear tailgate (behind Rear view Camera) just pull off - if you pull hard enough or is there another method? |

The dealership wanted £500 off me to fix mine as i had the same problem , was told i needed a new camera |
