The IR windscreen will mean that a head up display will work, but it will also block phone and portable satnav signals.

I have the "HUD windscreen" but have never had any issues with phone signal. Maybe I've misunderstood the post?

Never tried handheld GPS though. Perhaps it would get satellite signal through the panoramic roof! 2016 SDV8 AB

Actually, ignore the reference to the phone signal, I may have got that wrong. It’s very easy to block the relatively weak GPS signal though. My current Garmin won’t get a reliable signal signal if it’s just near the A pillar, it has to be in the middle of the ascreen - and that’s with a standard screen.

Well thanks for all of your tips, I did go for car 2 in the end (MY16 65 plate). I’ve had it just over a week now and enjoying it except for the ‘whistle’ which starts at about 55 and peaks at about 75mph. The radio will drown it out but I’m damned if I’m going to put up with it on the car of this pedigree - I’m trying to help the dealer out initially by taping over various seals on the windscreen, pan roof and the roof rail trims as the noise appears to emanate from there; sourcing it will be the trickiest bit of getting this sorted out (I hope). The only other gripe is that the touch sensor on the centre interior light doesn’t seem to work - map lights are fine and the all the lights come on with door opening, you just can’t switch them manually using the touch sensitive lens - any ideas would be welcome! Other than that it seems to be a great car - I’ll post some piccys when I’ve taken a few.....

Now with upgraded wheels thanks to AMTony 👍 Whistling noise apparently cured by a little silicone sealant applied by dealership (in wrong place) and then me (in right place). Interior light issue fixed (new overhead panel installed by dealer). Rear spoiler adjusted to remain clear of D pillar (Powerful video on YouTube). All is well!

Looks great and while I’m a big fan of 20’s, turbines always look so good! Cool
