SC V8 or SC V6 dilema

Thinking about selling my 2011 L322 SC and have been looking at the L405's. They have quite an abundance of the V6 (380hp) Supercharged L405's for sale here in US. I have heard the performance is very slow, 0-60 mph in 7.1 seconds where the V8 Supercharged with 510hp goes from 0-60 in about 4.9 seconds. I am not sure if there are many of the V6 SC's available in the UK but would love to hear from Owner's on performance and their opinion if they own one. Thanks in advance!!

Never driven one but was close to doing the business when it got discontinued and I’ve had to reset budget for a PHEV order this year. I thought this 3.0 SC review was useful:

Wasn't on sale for long enough in the UK for many opinions. The torque figures look less than impressive.

It’s interesting that the V6’s 7.1 sec 0-60 time should be thought “very slow”.

As Pixelpower says, there will be very few here is the UK. The diesels are so much more appropriate here and if petrol is preferred, virtually everyone goes for the V8. To put it in perspective, out of the 457 Range Rover L405’s currently available for sale used on LR’s UK website, 44 of them are V8 petrols and only 3 of them are V6 petrols.

Listening to the petrol V6 revving our to the red line in the video seems so alien after my own V8 diesel. I wouldn’t want to live with that.

How many used diesels are available where you are?

Thanks Red,

Not as many as the V6 & V8 petrols. There are more V6 SC than V8 SC for sale here.

On the grounds that we’re very short of V6 S/C experience over here, I hope that you’ll test drive them both and let us know how they compare with each other and your own TDV8 L322 Thumbs Up

I’d be really curious to know Very Happy
