EGR Cleaning ???

Hi guys and gals , new to this forum and new to ffrr. Just a quick intro to my new project.
The car is a 2011 range Rover vogue 4.4 tdv8, it has 88k up and is running well .
I have given the car a full service, all fluids under the bonnet have been changed with good quality oils and coolant. All filters and consumables (Land rover parts) changed.

Now, getting to my question, I looked through the service receipts last night (such an exciting life!!) , and notice a rather large bill for a new turbo .

I'm a preventative maintenance kind of guy, and was wondering if you can service these egr valves ? More than happy to purchase two new ones, though if they can be successfully cleaned I would try this first.

Your thoughts please.

Kind regards, Cozzy.

Are there any EGR fault codes? You'd only know if you've had the car plugged into a diagnostics.
Many of us have our own. GAP IID BT is the most popular...and best Thumbs Up
I'm a great believer in preventative maintenance but also to leave well alone if no issues....
Have you flushed the gearbox? LR says sealed for life Censored
Some Norfolk folks over on RRS are keen to get a megaflush days arranged:

Hi Dr Rob, thank you for your speedy reply ! I havn't as yet scanned the car.......I will be purchasing a scan tool shortly to see. With regard to the flush on the gearbox, I have just ordered a new zf filter and zf oil for the 8 speeder. I'm going to change the filter and replace the trans fluid that escapes / lost , then drive in for a month and drop the oil out and top up as required. I realise I will never get it all out (as a flush will) though believe several of these oil changes periodically will help the trans no end.

The car does go very well indeed.......I don't think there is too much wrong with it bar requiring a good tickle with the spanners. I have replaced front lower wishbones and drop links, front and rear discs and pads. It is a project, I like to look after things !! Thumbs Up

Kind regards,

Cozzy.
