Cures for VSR

So I’m looking for a 4.2 ideally on lpg.

I’ve seen a couple both without a valve saver and we’re a little lumpy on startup lpg and petrol so I put this down to early VSR.

From what I’ve read this engine suffers vsr in some cases without lpg and with lpg it accelerates it. If you don’t have a valve saver it’s acceleration is faster again.

Firstly do the 5.0 diff with it too?

Secondly once one has the dreaded vsr how do you fix it? I’ve seen a few posts about having it and no cures?

Is it a heads off job and new seats put in? If so what’s the time cost of they typically?

I know a guy who had it and went a different route as it was easier cheaper which was to get the cams reshimmed which fixed for him - is this done very often?

Another way I read (I believe) was to precision shave the tappets down?

This would be great info to have in my quest as I bought my first ff with my eyes closed and paid for it I don’t want t to do the same again.

Cheers! Current stable:

A Trap

Valve Seat Recession - where the valves wear the seats down beyond sim tolerance which then needs shims, buckets or valve stems ground to keep running or remove the head and replace the value seats and possibly the valves

Is that what most do? What kind of cost do people pay for this kind of work? Current stable:
