2007 intermittent electrical faults

Help! L322 2007 4.2 s/c I keep getting an intermittent electrical fault that sets off all the fzult messages including restricting transmission to 3rd gear only. It starts with a flashing AFS light, then a quick muting of the radio , followed closely by the airbag warning, and then loss of all signals to the dashboard and total powerloss to the head unit and sunroof.
My mechanic has changed the transformer as he said a short circuit was producing too much charge back to the battety, but after two days of running normally, the fault has returned... any ideas as im at my wits end. Cheers Ivan

Thanks, but the battery was only replaced 5 months ago. Surely it can’t be on its way it already?
