4.4 or the Supercharged?

Hi All,

Has anyone experience in both models?
I am thinking about moving on from my 2003 4.4 Petrol Autobiography and getting a slightly later Supercharged model.

Any feedback on which is a better car?

Having started with a 2002 4.4 and then changing to the SC (nearly 6 years ownership of the latter), I’d say the SC in every respect.

The only thing I still miss from the BMW-era L322’s are the front seats, which I believe were much more comfortable.

You could stretch to the 5.0 for far better infotainment and a touch more power. Si. <This is my name.

I agree. My BM 4.4 was my first Fattie and a bit of a nightmare reliability wise but otherwise demonstrated how great these cars are. But for me the 4.2 SC was in a different league and "as standard" in 2007 was an AB that came with all of the toys, a huge increase in urge and mine was bulletproof in the 5 years/60k miles I had it. The 5.0 SC is better again, but the step up is less and there's a couple of things that don't suit me quite as well (no dip stick ffs - and ACC!)... and a couple of niggles with reliability (deplorable steps anyone?). They're all mighty fine cars though and very happy with my choice with no desire to move away from the marque. Mike - MPx

Thank you...

I am going to keep an eye out for a Supercharged that needs some work.
Ideally a new interior as I have a really lovely 2012 Sand/Jet seats to fit.

Not going to put them in my 2003 ... it’s peeing me off so it will be going.

I ended up buying another 4.4 but this time a 2006 in Java Black.
Needs so e work but very happy drive back from the dealer today.
The drivers seat was a problem though .. far too erect. That will be a furst job.
