Man arrested as three Range Rovers stolen from Oakham

A man has been arrested after three Range Rovers were stolen in short succession from driveways in Oakham.

The high-end 4x4s were taken between 3.20am and 3.50am on February 18 - one from Stamford Road and two from Hambleton Close.

Leicestershire Police said a 28 year-old from Boston has been arrested on suspicion of theft and released under investigations.

Enquiries in relation to the three incidents are continuing.

The vehicles were taken by the keyless entry method and one of the Range Rovers has since been recovered.

With all this news about cars being stolen I’ve disabled my keyless entry on my Land Rover. You can tell if the keyless entry is enabled, when it’s dark it’s easier to see. If you approach the car without the key with you and pull on the handle the dash clocks outer rims light up, well on the disco sport do as well as the door locker buttons on the door card.
After it’s disabled, nothing on the inside lights up.

Thumbs Up
