Broken drivers seat (and steering wheel adjust) diagnosis

Hi All,

I am now a 2 L322 family having bought a beautiful 2006 MY (12/05) Java Black Vogue.

I am going to attempt to fit 2012 seats into her but in the meantime the drivers seat adjustments (all of them) do not work and it is almost undriveable as it is so erect.

The steering wheel adjustment is also not working.

Passenger side all fine.

I have researched on here and google but really not sure where to start.

Could anyone with experience talk me through where best to start on this? Would really appreciate it.

Many thanks

We had a drivers seat fail and it turned out to be a break in the wiring loom under the seat
Because of the constant forward and backward movement one of the wires broke. Took a bit of finding though!

Thank you .. it is possible. Hopefully its a relay or fuse rather than random damaged cable.

Fuse board seems a good place but seems odd steering wheel and seat not working at same time.

An update on this .. I checked both fuses (20 and 23) both are ok.

I changed the switch pack for a known working pack from my other L322 ... that didn’t work.
I have looked underneath and all looks in good order. Pushed and prodded everything I could see.. checked all the connections visible were pushed into place.

Anyone with any experience suggest a next move? Thank you

I still cant find the fault or anyone to fix it.
My next move is to work out what cables feed power to the seat and temporarily rig up a battery to power it directly.
I need to work out what cables to power up though.

How did you get on with this issue?

I have the same issue
So far I have pulled the switch pack appart all looks well inside all the switches register on activation on my scanner.
No visible issues with wires anywhere
I pulled the back off the seat, no issues there either
All fuses intact

If I move a switch repetitively in quick time I get the smallest movement and have managed to get a decent seating position.
It is like there is a power supply issue, power is there but not enough
