Police body control?

This Police body control fitted thing is unusual? My 2003 didn’t have it.

I assume it makes it f**k off at high speed with lights flashing when there is a brew on or shift change.

Funny! Made me laugh ..

Has anyone seen this on theirs or is there something unusual about mine? There was a rumour about this history of this car when I bought it.
This might prove it .. my concern is all that all 2006 MY say the same message and mine is nothing out of the ordinary.

I hope you get the full story.

very intriguing, I wonder if (more seriously) it has to do with stiffer suspension either for handling or load bearing?

Best of luck getting to the bottom of it anyhow, will watch with interest! Thumbs Up Formerly happymadison1978

Nothing to do with suspension I think.

Will be something to do with the BCM programming for police spec gubbins. Possibly a close protection car or ex royal escort vehicle. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

So you think all RR have this and it’s activated post factory if it ended up in Police service or this could be ex Police/Royal protection?

I would have thought others would be seeing this on their car if it was widespread..

Sounds like it's an ex police car of some description to me. HPI reports used to give you a list of all previous owners but I don't think they do anymore.

Agree it looks like that .. just want to be more sure that every car doesn’t have these options in the ECU’s.

A quick Google’s doesn’t seem to bring up these being found by others so it looks promising.

There must be forum members who have had their ECU scanned so hoping they can chime in.

I have been told something about the history of the car I am trying to back up with some facts if I can.

Re owners, I am the third .. the previous I have the details of. They owned it for a long time.
The first owner is the interesting one I am trying to prove.

`most specialised police cars (traffic, ARV etc, not general purpose 'pandas') are delivered to a Police Spec which usually is catered for by poverty spec trim (if available) and uprated suspension and brakes to deal with the high speed runs with a load in the back (cages, cones, gun cabinets). The engines are generally not touched. If the uprating or tuning of brakes/suspension performance can be done electronically via the ESP ECU it will be a cheaper way of achieving the goal.
My experience of ex job cars is that some are fantastic buys, even leggy ones can still be really good cars, and some are pigs (no pun intended). Onto my 2nd FFRR, this time an L405 5.0L SC AB in SVO Palette black.
